Artist Cibelle Cavalli Bastos leads a workshop interrogating gender as a line of code. Are we operating like binaristic algorithms, incapable of empathy and nuanced perceptions of the self and others?
Through a series of exercises blending the language of self-enquiry, neuroscience and computing, Cibelle will explore the "deprogramming of societal malware" and whether this can help us better understand ourselves.
This event is part of GENDERS: Shaping and Breaking the Binary, a free exhibition and events programme exploring personal perspectives on gender today.
