Blast Theory working with young women working as Amelia, Batman, Bella, Beyoncé, Ivy Green, Krystal Jenkins, Sabrina and Vanessa

When do you feel in control, when don't you and why does it matter? Do these feelings come from inside or from something outside you? Coffee, snack food, booze or something more illicit might feel like they make life more manageable. But when we seek comfort and connection through humble, everyday habits, we can end up somewhere we don’t expect.

Join an intimate conversation with young women as they reflect on their own experiences and decisions.

The making of Short Periods of Structured Nothingness

Blast Theory worked with an anonymised group of young women who shared their lives and experiences with the artists over seven days through instant messaging, photos and phone calls. From this, the artists created Short Periods of Structured Nothingness to be experienced as ‘part documentary and part overheard conversation’ by visitors who are invited to share their own reflections on the questions raised with the documentary subjects.
