Sugar Rush (2016-17)

Why does our consumer-driven society make so much stuff that seems designed to fail? The functionable but fragile Sugar Rush coffee tables are made of sugar, itself a highly addictive substance. On contact with any liquid they self-destruct. New tables may be re-created from the crumbled crystals. Their cycle echoes that of addiction and recovery whereby neither living with addiction nor being in recovery are necessarily permanent states.
