Take me back

Algorave

  • Science Gallery London Great Maze Pond London, England, SE1 United Kingdom (map)

Curious about live coding? In this hands-on workshop you could have learnt to craft your own rhythms using Strudel, a popular and beginner-friendly live coding tool that runs in your browser. No prior coding experience needed—just a laptop and an open mind!

You could then step up and showcase your live-coded creations in a supportive environment. For the first hour it was over to you. Whether you're a seasoned coder or a first-timer, this was a chance to perform.

Then we experienced the raw energy of live-coded music as seasoned Algorave artists took the stage. We watched as they manipulated code in real-time, generating unique, bass-heavy beats that will kept us dancing all night.

We witnessed the fusion of art and technology in real-time and were part of a movement redefining live performance.
