Indo-futuristic audio-visual electronica performance by audio-visual artists Murthovic (MSR Murthy) and Thiruda (Avinash Kumar).
Set in a world where global cultures are nearing extinction, this follows cultural” cyborg Meenakshi. Immersive visuals of 3D video games, AI art and motion captured dance and a soundtrack of Indian electro-classical dance music accompany an anthology of stories connecting heritage, science and society.
This second performance of Elsewhere in India at Science Gallery London is part of LFF Expanded - BFI London Film Festival 2023’s programme of free augmented reality walks and drop-in immersive experiences.
Looking at the use of archives in the future of AI based filmmaking, the performance will be followed by a Q&A with Murthovic & Thiruda chaired by Simon McCallum, Archive Projects Curator at the BFI.
