Reality is Not What it Seems

Atrium

18:30- 20:45

How can humans be certain about the future when they feel uncertain about the present?

Through an algorithm that uses the power of quantum computing to mirror the present moment you are invited to confront a reality encoded in quantum circuits. Witness how the natural movement of the crowds alters a two-dimensional computation environment, yet only fleeting glimpses of the quantum encoded reality can be grasped

Astryd Park is a quantum application engineer at MOTH and recently finished her MSc Creative Computing at University of the Arts London, where this project was first developed.

The Arcade

Theatre

18:30-20:45

Discover The Arcade: explore MOTH’s creative applications in gaming, music, and media. Play Space Moths, a Roblox game powered by quantum computing. Experiment with Quantum Brush, a digital painting tool that uses quantum algorithms to transform brushstrokes into visual styles, or get musical with Actias, a quantum inspired synthesiser and sound controller.

QUANTUM PHOTOBOOTH

OUTSIDE STUDIO

18:30-20:45

Have your photo taken at the Quantum Photobooth, where images are transformed with Quantum Blur, a visual effect powered by quantum computing. Take away printed photos that reveal patterns and details beyond ordinary image filters.

ILĀ X MOTH - RECURSE

18:30-20:45

Studio

Enter RECURSE, an infinite remix of electronic artist ILĀ’s track, continuously generating in real time, this collaboration created with MOTH’s quantum platform Archaeo showcases an artist-first approach to generative AI, producing an ever-evolving soundscape.

Conversations on Quantum

Workshop

19: 30-20:45

Drop by and have a chat with quantum experts! We’ll be joined by theoretical physicists Mark Mitchison and Eugene Lim from Kings College London, interdisciplinary scientist Konstantinos Meichanetzidis,  quantum application developer João Ferreira, MOTH founder Harry Kumar in conversation with artist ILĀ. Quick fire talks will be followed by informal conversation!
