HOW (NOT) TO GET HIT BY A SELF-DRIVING CAR
Can you beat the AI? This fun, physical game challenges players to make it to the finish line without being detected by an AI-powered camera. A collaboration between Tomo Kihara and Playfool, this was a huge hit at Playable City in Bristol earlier this year, so we’re delighted to bring it to Science Gallery London. COULD AN AI BE YOUR BOSS ONE DAY?
There’s plenty of fear-mongering about AI taking our jobs, but how will this technology really affect work culture? Exploring these questions are Anna Codrea-Rado, host of the podcast Is This Working?; Nick Srnicek, senior lecturer in digital economy at King’s and author of Platform Capitalism, Inventing the Future and After Work; and Shyam Krishna, the engineer-turned-researcher who spent six months undercover as a delivery driver to explore automation in the gig economy.

NEWLY FORGOTTEN TECHNOLOGIES: FIVE ECHOES
Wesley Goatley

A companion piece to his installation currently on display, this cautionary tale follows five Amazon voice assistants on their journey from the home to the waste heap.

AI SCHOOL
We’re delighted to welcome back Lily McCraith and Soul Miles who will take a critical look at how we teach AI. In this interactive workshop, you’ll make a handmade dataset of images of an apple to train a do-it-yourself AI.

AI GAMES
Join King's AI researcher Mike Cook to learn about iNNk - a drawing game designed by AI researchers at the IT University of Copenhagen, where a team of humans have to guess what someone is drawing before their AI opponent can. It's a lot harder than it looks - in fact, the researchers behind the game studied how humans try to cheat at it and made some adjustments to make it harder! See if you're a good enough artist to beat the AI by coming along and trying out the game for yourself.

6.30pm - 9.30pm | Ground Floor
MECH WARFARE: AN INTERACTIVE CITYSCAPE
KCL Tech Society partners up with the Research in Electronics Society for this interactive exhibit. You’ll take turns commandeering a remote control robot against a rogue AI under timed conditions. You’re invited to consider ethical challenges of autonomous lethal weapon use with respect to operational risks and disintegrated accountability.
