VITAL COMMUNITIES

What evidence is there that community, ground-up action can make a difference to our lives and environments? What can each of us really do to move towards a better future for ourselves, our communities, and our planet?

Vital Communities will explore these questions and the positive potential of local action to speak meaningful environmental change.

This insightful and hope-filled free event will feature panelists who are truly passionate about our collective impact on the world.

The panelists are presenter and National Trust’s Nature Neighbourhood Manager Rory Crawford, Director of Incredible Edible Lambeth Tori Sherwin, Alice Edgerley of Turner-Prize winning-design collective Assemble, Cllr Rezina Chowdhury Deputy Leader of Lambeth Council (Sustainable Lambeth and Clean Air) and Loretta Bosence, Director of Local Works Studio with BSL interpretation by Interpreting Matters.

The event will be chaired by Kirstie Hewlett, Senior Research Fellow at the Policy Institute, King’s College London.

Together the panel will discuss their thoughts on the power of community and share the steps we can take every day to truly make a difference.

Science Gallery London’s exhibition, Vital Signs: Another world is possible, will be open from 2-6pm on Tuesday 25 February and entrance is also free.

Vital Communities will be BSL interpreted and live streamed. To receive the Zoom link, click Get Tickets and select the live stream free ticket option.
