Free evening panel event presented as part of Vital Signs: Another world is possible at Science Gallery London.
Climate activists, a psychologist, peace-pilgrim, and a neuroscientist gather at Science Gallery London to explore how we can create hopeful futures for the environment.
This inspiring evening, chaired by climate activist Clover Hogan, will be an opportunity to collectively consider how we can reclaim our agency, even in uncertain times.
Clover will be joined by Daze Aghaji, Steffi Bednarek, Satish Kumar, and Dr Kris De Meyer with British sign language (BSL) provided by Interpreting Matters

Clover Hogan Climate Activist and the founder of Force of Nature
Clover is a climate activist and the founder of Force of Nature, the youth non-profit mobilising mindsets for climate action. She has worked alongside the world’s leading authorities on sustainability, consulted within the boardrooms of Fortune 50 companies, and counselled heads of state. Her TED talk, ‘What to do when climate change feels unstoppable’ has been viewed 2 million times.
Daze Aghaji, Environmental Activist, Strategist and Creative
Daze Aghaji is an environmental activist, strategist, and creative committed to creating systemic change. As a founding member of Extinction Rebellion Youth, Daze played a pivotal role in the 2019 London occupation, where XR shut down central sites and helped prompt the UK government to declare a climate emergency. Daze’s legal work also led to a landmark judicial review that resulted in the UK government releasing its Net Zero Strategy. Daze is passionate about using creativity and collaboration to disrupt the status quo and drive real climate action.
Steffi Bednarek Climate Psychologist and Founder of the Centre for Climate Psychology
Steffi Bednarek is a climate psychologist, systems thinker, trauma-informed consultant and author of Climate, Psychology and Change. She is the founder of the Centre for Climate Psychology, a Social Enterprise supporting individuals in developing psychologically mature responses to the meta crisis. Her work highlights the deep wounding and moral injury that ensues from living in a wounded world and highlights the hidden patterns and perceptions that often put well intended change initiatives into old familiar shapes.
Satish Kumar Peace-pilgrim, Life-long activist and Former Monk
Satish Kumar has been inspiring global change for over 50 years. He undertook a pilgrimage for peace, walking for two years without money from India to America for the cause of nuclear disarmament. Now in his 80s, Satish has devoted his life to campaigning for ecological regeneration and social justice. He is a world-renown author and international speaker, founder of The Resurgence Trust and Editor Emeritus of Resurgence & Ecologist – a change-making magazine he edited for over 40 years.
Dr Kris de Meyer, Director of UCL Climate Action Unit and Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London
Dr Kris De Meyer is a neuroscientist, science communicator, director of the Climate Action Unit at University College London and a visiting lecturer at King’s College London. He brings insights from neuroscience and psychology to how we tell stories about climate change, communicate about climate risk, and create opportunities for climate action. His recent TED talk is ‘How to stop feeling stuck on climate change’.
Entry to Vital Minds is free but booking is essential. Early booking is recommended.
Our exhibition Vital Signs: Another world is possible will be open to visit before the talk (11am – 6pm) on Thursday 27 March and entrance is also free.
