Experience the unseeable through an immersive Mixed Reality artwork exploring quantum technologies.
As part of the Quantum Season, Science Gallery London will host QUANTUM LENS by Studio Above&Below for four days. Presented in three chapters — Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Probability, and Quantum Tunnelling — the artwork explores quantum occurrences that cannot be witnessed with the naked eye. Using Mixed Reality as a symbolic lens, QUANTUM LENS aims to open a window to the unseen.
Created by Studio Above&Below in collaboration with leading quantum scientists across the UK, QUANTUM LENS was originally commissioned for the public exhibition “Cosmic Titals: Art, Science, and the Quantum Universe” at Lakeside Arts in Nottingham, as part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025.
Studio Above&Below is a London based art and technology practice founded by Royal College of Art graduates, Daria Jelonek and Perry-James Sugden. Through combining mixed realities experiences (XR), digital art, and data their work depicts the potential connections amid humans, machines and the environment. The award-winning duo’s work has been exhibited internationally at institutions such as The Tate Modern, V&A London and MEET Milan.
