Welcome to the Takeover Space

Get comfortable and be curious in the Takeover Space - our ground floor area for sharing the ideas of our community of students, researchers, artists and local people.

Our first takeover 404 Papers Not Found (21 Feb - 6 Apr) sees students from the Womxn in Biosciences Society and King’s LGBTQ+ Society highlight examples of women’s and trans+ people’s exclusion in healthcare through zines, timelines and a manifesto created with artist Lu Williams of Grrrl Zine Fair.

Later in the year, look out for Experts by Experience: Who Knows Best? (10 Apr - 5 Jun) spotlighting Participatory Research at King’s, and the role of people with lived experience.

Finally, feminist encounter Careful Whisper (11 Jun - 27 Jul) sees artist and sociologist Nina Wakeford and King’s Professors Anne Pollock and Susan Brain track current controversies and emergent ideas during visits to King’s cardiology labs.
